Instructor: Amber Cottle, Certified Dog Trainer and Behavior Specialist

Prerequisite: 19 years of age and a good understanding of English, and be physically capable of performing the practical exercises as required.

This is an intensive 2-day workshop where upon graduation you will be a Certified Dog Walker.

What you get:

  • 2 full days of instruction including what services to offer, where to walk dogs, how to start a business as a professional dog walker, how to market yourself, how to temperament assess dog clients plus learn about all the necessary forms including intake and liability release. As well, you will learn how to create dog-walking policies and how to price your services.
  • 1 full day of practical handling which will teach you how to handle and walk up to 6 dogs on a leash. The focus is on understanding dog body language and behavior, how to walk reactive dogs and how to prevent behavior problems, basic obedience, safety equipment and more.

This course is a MUST for anyone wanting to become a professional dog walker. Amber Cottle has over 10,000 hours of experience handling dogs of all breeds and temperaments.
